This weekend, I was invited again to present at the Mormon Women for Ethical Government Spring Conference. I resonate with their focus on being nonpartisan, peaceful, and proactive. Last year, I loved engaging with these thoughtful, engaged women on the topic of claiming power as a citizen.
This year, I talked about the origin story of an op-ed I wrote in 2017 for the Deseret News: To be a peacemaker is to be a creator, a visionary, and a champion. Considering peacemaking, I wanted to develop a few tools to help develop skills and understanding in working with people and in environments that might start out oppositional, even hostile.
